Asbestos-A Global Danger

Being exposed to asbestos can happen from activity that disturbs asbestos. Disturbing the asbestos makes the asbestos fibers airborne. When these asbestos fibers are floating in the air and are inhaled, there are diseases that affect your health. According to mesothelioma.com, “No amount of asbestos exposure is safe; however, the longer and more intense the exposure, the more likely an individual is to develop mesothelioma cancer or another asbestos disease.”

In Los Angeles, the County of Los Angeles Public Health have advised to leave any material containing asbestos be left alone and if material is damaged to contact the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health to locate companies that are certified to remove asbestos.
