Lead Paint-A Complex Problem

Lead Paint is a complex problem for homeowners, business owners and any community. Someone who gets exposed to lead paint may have negative reactions to the lead. Children and pregnant women are more susceptible to the negative effects of lead. However, any adult is at risk of the negative effects of lead. There are several resources that one can accumulate to gain a better understanding of the danger of lead base paint. In our state of California, the state has enacted a landmark to prevent childhood lead poisoning.

The California Department of Public Health website shows a list of local Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Programs. Visit their website to see which local office is closest to you. The video below is an informative video about lead paint poisoning and one subject discussed in the video is the Renovation, Repair and Painting Program. According to EPA, "EPA's Lead Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule (RRP Rule) requires that firms performing renovation, repair, and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in homes, child care facilities and pre-schools built before 1978 have their firm certified by EPA (or an EPA authorized state), use certified renovators who are trained by EPA-approved training providers and follow lead-safe work practices." If you are concerned with your environment having lead based pain, visit our website and contact us. Our environmental division specializes in lead paint removal. Alliance Environmental Group,Inc is a certified lead removal contractor.
