The demand for apartments is growing in large cities keep growing as households decide that renting is a better fit then owning based on their lifestyle. One agency can be managing thousands of apartment units. This industry is on the path of growth, but the more people reside in apartments the more there will be cases of managers trying to educate their residents about taking care of their apartment unit. One of the biggest problem found in apartments whether it is in a multi family apartment unit or a student housing unit, is mold. Mold can grow in any perimeter where moisture is present.

Mold can be on a path of growth in apartments if not taken care of quickly and correctly. Once mold grows inside an apartment it becomes a a health risk for tenants. Tenants and landlords share the responsibility of controlling mold to create a healthy environment and ensure healthy living conditions. From a renters perspective, renters expect landlords to provide their homes from having leaky roofs or water pipes and on the other spectrum landlords expect their tenants to maintain their unit clean and dry so that mold wont grow. The video below provided by the IAQA Video Network talks about mold in apartments and indoor air quality.
