Prevent a Termite Infestation

Bed bugs and rodents can damage your home and sometimes you do not see the damage until you renovate your home or there is a bad smell in your environment. Another silent destroyer are termites. Termites are a constant threat to your home. I saw an example of the damage that termites can do to a home while watching one of my favorite shows in HGTV.

In order to prevent termites from forming a colony you must eliminate any moisture, remove any sources that termites can eat, and identify any damage that you may see. There are four types of termites that can damage your property. The dampwood termite feeds on moist wood. Drywood termites, feeds on lumber, carpets and flooring. The formosan termites cause billions of dollars in damage in the United States every year. Subterranean termites, also eat the wood and damage buildings but enter from the ground.Below is an informative video on termite infestation.
